Description and Responsibilities

Inside Propulsion System division and attached to “Vehicle & Propulsion System control”, our team is responsible for ensuring that all the subsystems (as eMotor, Battery, ICE, OBC, Transmission…) are:

  • Safe at the right level,
  • Compliant with all the regulations
  • And repairable according to Stellantis Technical Policy.

For that, we are responsible for the Technical Safety Concept for each component (BUY or Make System) and ensure that the design and the validations are in accordance with the level of safety required.

We are also responsible for the functional Diagnosis Matrix which is the link between:

  • A failure is detected and a diagnosis raised ? we follow the design of the diagnosis
  • A recovery mode is applied
  • A Malfunction indicator lighting is necessary or not
  • Which parameters are registered for Aftersales team

We support the Aftersales Team in the process to find the right defective parts when a diagnosis raises.

Our main work products are:

  • SDO Requirements to the component
  • The follow up of the design of diagnosis with the control team or the supplier
  • The Technical Safety Concept
  • The monitoring of the SDO validations and the management of the deviations.
  • The Component Diagnosis Matrix (for functional perimeters)
  • Contribute to the safety assessments, and safety case.
  • Main interactions: other safety designer , safety tech fellows, HV components designers , validation and calibration teams

Our main work interfaces are:

  • EE Team for diagnosis and diagnosis management
  • N3 Components Team as PEDS, PCMP….
  • Powertrain Project Team and Component Project Team
  • Aftersales and OBD Team inside CSAD
  • Supplier


Requirements

  • Engineering degree
  • Knowledge of high voltage components (battery, emotor) or ePWT is required
  • Working language is English
